Why Anet forces us to farm to make money? (Not a Whining)
i play gw since the first day release. I don't remember how many times i was sleeping when i was playing Prophecy/Faction(only in the horrible City). For Nf, its ok for PvE and there are alot of thing improve in Nf but after i beat the game what can i do beside solo farming or capping group farming?
Why Anet forces us to farm to make money? and why doesn't Anet force us to play pve to make money?
Why i don't like those farming? because i want to ask something:
-Who don't like to play PvE without capping group?
-Who don't like to play PvE without playing alone or with those henchmen?
-Who don't like to play PvE and make money at the same time?
-Who don't like to play PvE with their favorite Profession?
-Who don't like to play PvE with their own build?
How does it work? just take a look at Aspenwood/AB. I love Anet at this point when they force us to play to get Faction points. I love Aspenwood because it was the only place that my assassin she can enjoy her PvE after beated the game.
(Sorry if i have a bad English)

They don't force you to farm. If you want the best of everything, yes, you have to work hard for it. That's not required though, except maybe for a few areas that are, coincidentally, designed for the best of the best. You can easily make enough money to get by just from playing through the game, and no you won't have the best items with perfect mods everywhere but you will not be unable to beat the game. I think it's fair that if you want something exceptional, it takes time and work (aka farming). It wouldn't be very special otherwise.
Of all MMORPGs I've played, GW is the one that requires the least farming/grinding to reach maximum goals. Ever tried to get the highest PvP rank in WoW?

I think I can see where you're coming from on this one. To be honest, I normally make plenty of gold just playing, not even caring about who's in my group. And I normally play with a Ranger/Warrior holding a Sword instead of a Bow.
The only time you would have to really farm for gold is if you want something very specific. Some of the items in game are horribly expensive for no good reason. They are not needed from what I've seen, but that does not mean we do not want them.

GW actually does a pretty decent job in making it so that you don't have to farm to enjoy and play the game. Things like the inscription system, collectors items, weapon crafters are there to minimize the farming you need to do in order to get a decent max weapon/item.
So no, I don't think they force us to farm at all. Unless you're one of those who thinks having FoW armor and wielding a crystalline sword is an absolute necessity.

The only thing I wish they would change is the cost of using your skill points. Farming for 200k to buy 200 skills isn't realistic for a lot of players.

I think that it would be nice if they raised the quest rewards from just a couple hundred gold to a 1k or two yah know but eh.. and farming isn't necessary but it is for extraneous things... Personally I just would like it if they gave us more gold for quest and mission completions... but that's just IMO..

i actually do enjoy the game without farming, and i have enough money to buy whatever i want. And something like FoW armor and Crystalline sword are worthless to me it look so ugly to me.
The thing i want to say is What r we going to do after we beat the last mission and buy all the things we want? Beside farming what else?
Yes, who don't want gold? but we need do something that we love to do too.
Like in Faction, after we beat the game we can go for Aspenwood or AB or Elite Mission. But for Nf, Why only Elite Mission, something that we need to do capping group to do it?
Why i hate Capping group so much? because if u were assassin , would they let u join in a capping group?
Why don't they make something that similar to Aspenwood but we get gold instead of faction point?

I have beat Nightfall on my neco a few weeks ago. What did I do? I took another character through the campaign. If I got bored, I went onto one of my new characters, mainly my paragon. If I got bored again, I can go try capturing elites on my necro. If I'm still bored, I got 5 more PvE characters (total of 8) to work on. Last of all I have 2 PvP characters to do some PvP with, so that I can get away from the PvE play style.
So, I wouldn't say they force us to farm. I hardly have time to.

Yo, dude. It's the other way around. Anet doesn't WANT you to farm. So don't farm.

i have beat Nf with my dervish and assassin a few week ago and my paragon is on halfway. I may not have my fourth character to beat Nf because it take so long and boring but i am not saying Nf is suck.
And now, what can i do for my assassin and Dervish with PvE after i beat Nf?

Amen, Azagoth. Anet doesnt force you to farm anything. I don't farm faction, gold, or items. I get plenty of gold to fund my habits and arm my PvE players. When I PvP, I do it for fun with friends. Most of the armor, items, titles..ect are all cosmetic. if you want those, sure you'll have to grind for them, but that is apparent in every MMORPG that I can recall.

You do not NEED all those skills. But you do have to farm to get that many skill points And to get that many skill points, you'll be making that much money, unless your wasting it on armor or more weapons that you don't need.
If everyone only bought the skills they needed for their characters, there wouldn't be so many complaints about how much skills cost.

get all of the skills for their classes unlocked, go for a title or two, chat with people, design builds -- cap the skills needed for the builds, do other quests, help other players

GO FOR TITLE, does that mean i have to farm to get title?
Chat with people? everytown i went the only thing i saw is WTS/WT/Forming-group-farming.
Design Build? what do i design it for if i have no where to play it in PvE.
Why they don't just make a PvE mission for to play our favorite Profession and our favorite own build without capping-group like Aspenwood?
